CRAFTY!

So, I have decided that I am going to be be crafy. After several attempts of trying to master various crafty projects I decided to just give up and that I was just not meant to be crafty. I decided to give it one more shot when my friend Jessica inspired with me with her super cute crafts. I decided to make my first project for my super cute cousin Addy. I modge podged (spelling?) scrapbook paper on the A and painted the rest. I was pretty happy with the finished project and so was Addy so it is all good : )

The finished product. Am I dork for taking a picture of it because I am so proud of it? Truth is I don't know if I will ever have a project that will turn out again. Who knows, this could have been a one-time deal right?

Randy's Going Away/James' Birthday Party

Our friend Randy is moving to New Mexico to become a police officer so we decided to give him a proper send off. It was also James' birthday dinner that night. I left my dang camera in the car for dinner but remembered to grab it when we went up cottonwood canyon to roast marshmallows. We had a fun night and all was going well until we were greeted by an officer asking us if we missed the sign at the entrance that said "closed for the winter." Then someone chimed in and said "well it’s not winter anymore." Believe it or not this irritated the officer because apparently, in park ranger circles, winter ends May 30. At this point Adam decided to take matters into his own hands as he told the officer to "calm down sir" LOL. We try to not let Adam be the spokes person for the group if at all possible : ) This made matters worse but for some reason he told us we could finish roasting our marshmallows and to get out. He also decided not to fine us all $150 which was a plus. Not an ideal going away party but after we did have some cake : )

Apparently there was a sign : )

First Post

For my first post I want to tell you all a little about us. We have known each other since elementary school. We grew up in the same small town. We were friends our whole lives and started dating our junior year of highschool. We have been going strong for a little over 4 1/2 years now. He proposed Dec 20, 2009 which is interesting because that is the same day his dad proposed to his mom. He had no idea! It was a cool coincidence. Malcolm is constantly making me laugh and recently this has sparked the debate of who is the funniest out of the two of us. (I win hands down) This is a picture of him in his hat he got from my parents for christmas. He wouldn't take it off for the rest of the day!

Malcolm loves sports and luckily I do to. We like to go to the Jazz games but Malcolm only has one true love....besides me.

That love is Utah football. If you are looking for us between the months of September through November we are here pretty much every saturday. Rain or shine it does not matter! (trust me LOL) He flat out told me that a September wedding was out of the question because there was a chance that our anniversary could fall on a Utes home game and he couldn't be out of town. He has problems.......

We bring these folks along with us. Malcolm's love of the Utes is seriously contagious and our section of season ticket holders grow more and more each year.

This is Malcolm rushing the field after Utah beat BYU. He swears you can see him if you look close enough. :) *Hint* he is wearing red...

So that is a little about us. I love this picture because this was taken the night that he proposed to me. This was right after he asked me. I was glad I could pull it together a little for the picture because I was crying like a baby! I am very excited for marry him and so excited for the next chapter in our lives!
